When we say an item runs "true to size," we’re referring to the size you’d typically try on first when shopping. For example, if you usually reach for a size Medium first, that’s what we consider your true size. We use different models and do our best to explain how each piece fits in our descriptions, ensuring you have all the info you need to choose the right size for you.

Decoding Denim Sizing
Navigating denim sizing can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to the difference between even and odd sizes. Even sizes are often used in women’s fashion, but the denim brands we carry (Judy Blue, Risen, Mica, Vervet and Lovervet) utilize odd sizes or waist measurements. We always list both numbers on our tags and listings.
When selecting denim, starting with a size down from your typical even size is usually the right choice. A bit of stretch is the key to comfortable denim so we always look for high-quality fabrics that include some Spandex, Lycra, Elastane, Rayon or Polyester. We find that our brands have great recovery, which means they hold their shape well. That said, stretch fabrics can wear out over time, especially with friction or if you dry your jeans with heat. We suggest purchasing the smallest size you can comfortably wear for the best fit long-term.
